After several months without results, we’ve gathered a large amount of Wanderer tournament results. Due to the popularity and supremacy of some archetypes, we’ve decided to put an stop to this reign of terror. The king is dead, long live the king.

The Kingdom of Diversity, Light Palace (WOM-117)
After debating a lot, we’ve decided that the interaction between this card and Alice, Zeus Incarnate (DBV-091) can be handled better than it was on the past. Thanks to Magic Stone Research Institute (MSW-087) we’ve learnt the relevance of playing addition hate both in main and sideboards, so right now, there is no reason for this card to stay in the banlist. And because of this, The Kingdom of Diversity, Light Palace (WOM-117) is no longer banned.
Umr-At-Tawil (ENW-051)
Wanderer is in a very healthy state. We’ve seen so many rulers winning tournaments from all over the world, so many strategies popping out and so much fun. Umr-at-Tawil has represented the Combo part of Wanderer for a long time, making the game enjoyable, yet complex enough for new players.
Even if we think that Umr-at-Tawil should remain unbanned and no one plays it right now, we agree that banning him will encourage more players to play Wanderer in the long run. It will also give them a nudge to have fun with their older cards. Because of this, we’ve decided that Umr-At-Tawil (ENW-051) is banned.
Fiethsing (MSW-053) // Fiethsing [J-ruler] (MSW-053J)
Fiethsing has joined the game being the most powerful and versatile ruler since Speaker of Eternal Night (TSW-109) // Scheherazade of the Catastrophic Nights (TSW-109J). Her ability of producing 1 colorless will for chants lets early game plays that ends being a 2×1 or 3×1 or even a huge 4×1. She also has become the ruler to play in aggro, combo and control due the ability of doing multiple mulligans. Even if you decide not tag her with any other Six Sages she is a standalone powerhouse. She has became more than 50% of the metagame, and will be even more after ROL and ADW. This is why Fiethsing (MSW-053) // Fiethsing [J-ruler] (MSW-053J) is banned.
Lykeion, the Magic Academy (EDL-062)
This addition was the most underrated card from EDL. In Wanderer, due to the large amount of zero cost cards, can be played on turn 1 using the Rune Deck and let its player play its whole deck for free (because almost every Wanderer legal competitive card costs 2 or less). We have banned almost every OP zero cost card, and this turning everything in a zero cost card makes us like it the same amount: zero. This is why Lykeion, the Magic Academy (EDL-062) is banned.
Sigurd, the Covenant King (AO3-082)
We’ve seen this card break NF during the last 12 months, and afer MSW this has become even more obvious. Sigurd has become better and better as more darkness additions have appeared in the game, which leads to powerful boardgame states in the early turns of the game. Right now this has been proved: first was Sacrificial Altar (AOA-100), then was Schrödinger (PofA-105), the last one Magic Stone Research Institute (MSW-087). Sigurd is limiting the design space due its powerful enter and synergy. This is why Sigurd, the Covenant King (AO3-082) is banned.
